The BEST Shortbread I’ve Ever Eaten
Walker’s is the best shortbread I’ve ever had. The minimal ingredients are simple, and the cookies are delicious. They are particularly yummy paired with hot tea or coffee. If you haven’t tried these yet, what are you waiting for? Buy and consume regularly for your palate’s pleasure.

Fun
I surprised my husband with this, and he was very happy to have a cookie every day during Christmas.We liked the caramel cookies more than we expected. The chocolate chip ones did not taste like they had any chocolate in them. The last day, the cookie is a star.

Great Advent Calendar for the college kids
I sent this calendar to both of my college kids – a little treat for every day during the busy month of December. Better than chocolate! It is not the most mysterious Advent calendar (you pretty much know what you are getting behind each door!), but at least I know they will like what they find every day.My only complaint would be the slow shipping; no Prime speeds here. Shipping took at least 2 weeks and seriously complicated logistics planning, particularly with the consideration of Thanksgiving travel and wanting to get them to the recipients by the beginning of Advent. Not sure why so slow but that could definitely be improved.

Very disappointed
Good idea, poor execution. About 90 percent of the cookies were broken – at least they were all individually wrapped so no crumbs spilled out. Taste-wise – not worth the calories. Definitely not worth the price.

No box?
This was a gift. The recipient loved it. However ,it was delivered without a box bag or packaging. Left on my front porch face down with a label on the back! Dirty? It’s a white box! Not cool in my opinion.

Husband’s Favorite Shortbread
My husband would prefer I make his mother’s shortbread, but since his doctor said no to holiday cookies, this was the next best thing. He really does love Walker’s shortbread, so when I found this I knew it was a winner. I gave it to him on Thanksgiving and he was miserable until he could actually start opening it. He enjoyed the cookies and didn’t mind only having one a day as it gave him something to look forward to!

Damaged
Only half of the calendar was received. Not a good value. After initially messaging no return or refund would be offered Amazon representative did contact me to refund money. I was still disappointed in size of cookies for cost.

Given as a gift. The gift recipient loves shortbread but unfortunately each morning when the calendar was opened the cookie was many times either just crumbs or broken. What was eaten was tasty per the recipient but the presentation was not the best.

Nope. Never again!
I have eaten and enjoyed shortbread cookies most of my life. I ordered the Advent 2023 calendar for my son and these cookies arrived broken in their packaging (in the little windows of the calendar) and worst of all, they were stale. Oddly, the different shaped shortbread cookies tasted noticeably different from each other, definitely not the yummy buttery shortbread that I expected, and each one still stale. Horrible and disappointing and just a crummy product! Walker’s has lost me as a customer. Perhaps the lack of bubble wrap when packaged up in the Amazon warehouse contributed to the broken cookie issue… of course, it can’t be returned, so I’m out $29.

Never again
Received half a box. Very disappointing for children who have been waiting and excited to get their advent calendar only to find out dec 1st, upon opening, that there is no day 1..or 2, or 3. Advertised as 24 day advent and it’s not. And of course I ordered in advance so can’t get a refund or anything. Disappointed doesn’t even cover it. I will never buy again and would never recommend.

Great product. Poor Amazon packing
The whole thing arrived crushed, ripped, and all the cookies are broken and slipped out of their numbered windows into a big jumble.The cookies taste good, but the point of the advent calendar is ruined because of poor packaging by Amazon.

Not packed well
The holder for the cookies and the door barely match up. A couple of days now I’ve had to go fish out a cookie as it slipped out of it spot and into another door that now had two cookies. Very little variety, the small number of unique shapes you get it nice but otherwise it’s very plain.

Arrived in broken outer box
The use by date indicates the cookies will be fresh, but the boxes were busted. The outer box was broken, as if folded in half, which did the same to the inner box. So, the box was not gift-worthy, 1/3 of the cookies were broken. Just an expensive way to buy a few cookies, since I won’t be gifting them.

These are edible but that’s about it. They were stale and flavorless, and at least half were broken. Many were given to my doggies, who have a lot lower standard than I do.

Great gift, fresh cookies
I gave this to my mother in early December and was nervous that the cookies wouldn’t be fresh as some of the reviews said the cookies are not as fresh as they could be. However, my mom loved the set and mentioned that the cookies were individually packaged in sealed plastic wrappers, ensuring their freshness. The box is also really nice and looks a lot fancier than this picture makes it out to be. Great gift.

Bah humbug!
I realize the company specializes in “only 4 ingredients”, but I was expecting something special for this calendar. Maybe “chocolate dipped”, or cinnamon flavored, or something… If you really love shortbread cookies, then maybe this is for you. But for me, each “door” was another boring cookie, many of them were the same basic shortbread, just different shapes. The “chocolate chip” rounds and the “salted caramel” squares were barely distinguishable from the plain shortbreads. And ,as others have mentioned, the two “halves” of my calendar came apart after the first week. Only buy this if you know the recipient really loves shortbread cookies. (Better yet, just buy them a big bag of cookies and tell them to each one each day lol, much cheaper)

Great fresh cookies – but a fail on the build and door/gift alignment
I love Walker’s Shortbread, but because it’s soooo good and tempting I usually limit myself to having it only at the holidays. For this year, my husband bought me the advent as a treat and to help moderate the intake.The box and the holiday scene is attractive, and the contents are fresh and as delicious as expected. There are even a couple of shortbread variations not readily available here in the States that I hadn’t tried yet.But I did find the construction of the calendar lacking – within a couple of days of standing up, the spine of the opened box split away and fell into 2 pieces. We had to tape them back together to get it to stand up again which was a bit disappointing.Worse, we found that the doors didn’t line up to the contents. Early on it was confusing as it appeared that there were 2 cookies for a particular day, only to find that another day located below the first one was now empty. That has been very disappointing.So great contents, but you may just want to purchase a box of cookies rather than the Advent calendar.

Not as high of quality as I hoped.
Most advent calendars have a Christmas scene inside of the open door but this one didn’t. The packages was made in such a way that all the cookies fell through to the bottom of the calendar.But the outside of the calendar was very cute.
