They stand behind their product
I ordered the 330 ft string and mounted it over my pond on 8 ft 4 x 4 posts to make a “light ceiling.” It worked exactly as advertised, but I did not like the layout and took the entire 330 ft down. Unfortunately, I broke one of the wires and the string had a 50-ish ft section that did not light. I spliced the break, but the string still did not work correctly. When I called, the representative gave me a procedure to see if the power supply had failed, and it did not pass the test. I was informed that they could not just send me a new power supply and asked if it was ok if they just sent me another, shorter string, since it had the same power supply. Ummm….YES!!! It arrived 2 days later and my lights are back up and creating a fairy land of our pond, waterfall, and adjacent patio. Even better, I was able to completely repair the long string and still have the short string in reserve. I was very impressed with this company’s service. The service deserves 5 stars. I only reduced it to 4 stars to emphasize to potential buyers that this item is very, very fragile, as many other reviewers have noted. But 330 ft of fairy lights for such a reasonable price? Awesome!

A lot to like
I really liked what these lites had to offer like functions, length a price. So many neat advancements in lighting. I prefer cool white and while not the brightest lites they are very distinguishable from a distance. My remote worked fine and I love all the options and it’s the most lights per foot. LITES OF THIS LENGTH NEED TO COME ON A REEL. Be careful not to tug too hard as they will come apart and it’s not repairable. I was almost done, just making adjustments. I would buy again but debating if I should just wait until next year. Deducted a star more out of aggravation.

GREAT deck lights!
Smaller and much easier to work with than the traditional mini-lights but these are just as bright. Also love the twist-secure string to string connector.

Very nice but some turn brown? Are they burning?
These lights are my favorite but some plastic around the LEDs turns brown, as if burnt? I am worried they are a hazard.I noticed some burnt spots on my magnolia tree leaves. I’ve had one set out for 2 season and another set out for 1 season. Both have the same problem but still work fine. The cool white color looks great 👍I would post pictures but Amazon wants full access to photos and camera. That ain’t happening.

Good but …
The lights are purely made for appearance only. The lights are not that bright, even on highest setting. My place was pitch black and they did absolutely nothing to help see in the dark. They are made to be used as a nice decoration at a wedding or other events only. OTHER LIGHTING WILL STILL BE NEEDED.Also, some of my lights came not working.

Nice lights but remote does not work.
Spent 2 hours stringing these in a 30 ft maple tree. Lights are pretty but remote does not work. Called Amazon and asked that they just replace remote. Instead they wanted me to take the lights down and send them back. No replacement remote, no small discount, Only option is to take them down. I would stay away since they will not even send a replacement remote.

Prety BUT so thin….
These lights are pretty BUT the cord they are put on is soooo thin and cheap! They tangle really easy and Im afraid the string they are on is going to break! I dont think I would buy these again. Cheap made, in my opinion.

Very nice LED fairy lights
Wow, 800 lights. I am still hanging them in my trees. They give off more light than I expected. They run much less electricity than the regular mini lights, so I can light up my yard whenever I like.I am hoping they last a long time.I tell my granddaughters that they attract fairies.

Good but not as bright as expected
These are our first LED lights and they are not as bright as traditional lights, which is surprising. You can see the difference between our tree topper (regular lights) and the rest of the tree. The lights are on brightest setting in a dark room in the pics. The blinking functions are too fast and frenetic for our taste. So we just leave them on solid. But overall these are fine, considering what we paid for them.

Not as many lights as advertised
I thought I purchased “200 led lights 60′” but when I got the box it only had 100 LED lights and the length was only 33 ft. I specifically bought this because of the feet and how long it was supposed to be. The quality of the lights overall are exactly what I wanted but I needed longer and I don’t want to buy another one for it to be the same half length of what is advertised.

Mostly good but a couple things
I don’t think i’ve ever had a 300+foot string of lights, the length is fantastic. I can do my entire fence and still have a ton to wrap around an oak tree. The brightness setting is neat as well, i don’t think I will use it but its a nice feature. It mentions an IP44 rating which I assume is good (the higher the IP number the better right? who knows) but I still try to keep it relatively protected because essentially a white box with a button (to adjust modes and timer). I don’t doubt there are seals and such but why not protect it a bit more if you can.The one thing I don’t really care for is the default setting. When the string is disconnected from power, any previous setting is forgotten. This includes if you have it set up to a timer plug or one with a Dawn/Dusk setting. So when the string comes on again, it comes on to the default setting, which cycles through all of the settings. If i wanted to get back to the setting i like, i would have to take the remote to the string again each time it powers up. I believe the only workaround for this is if you plug in directly and use the timer setting, which is only on6h/off18h. If the default setting was changeable that would be ideal, but i do not think it is.TL;DR – string reverts to default mode (cycles through all modes) every time it is connected to power – ie if you are using a smart plug or dawn/dusk plug.

Great lights!
These lights give off a lot more light than I thought they would! Super anti-big light so these are our primary light source at night and they are great! They are bright but still warm with cozy feel! Plus great customer service! we actually accidentally broke the cord on our original light string while moving and connected the manufacture as it was under warranty and they sent us a new that day!

Great lights but Control box and Plug IS NOT water resistant! Read review!
If you find this review helpful, please click helpful below. The lights work great. Not the brightest LED’s out there, but they are nice. The remote works awesome. The length is ABSOLUTELY awesome. I can go around my home and not need a ton of extension cords and figuring out where to have connections end/start.Now. IP44 certification shouldn’t be advertised at all. IP44 means a light fixture can be used in a BATHROOM with steam/moisture. It does not mean ANYTHING to do with outdoor use. In fact, if you read all the description print they advertise, it clearly states multiple times NOT for rain use. I don’t know about you, but why would you want outdoor lights that can’t be used in the rain?Anyway, the strand of lights is definitely water proof. The control box and plug part is ABSOLUTELY not water proof at all. Here is what I recommend to be able to use these outdoors.Get yourself some clear silicone, and with your finger go over all the seams of both control box and plug box sealing the seams. Then, put the control box and plug in a plastic sandwich bag with an extension cord plugged in. Wrap the sandwich bag end tight around extension cord and strand wire, and zip tie it tight. This will prevent most water intrusion and will work outdoors in the rain. Things to remember, make sure wires POINT DOWN… if they are up, water will run down the wire right into bad. Make sure the control box/baggy is OFF THE GROUND if possible. Finally, There is NO MEMORY if you use a timer, or dawn/dusk switch. So you will need to reset the mode you like every time you turn them on.Good Luck!

Great lights
We bought 2 different sets. The 800 count warm white light (x2), and the 400 multicolored lights (x2). The WHITE lights are more yellow than white. I am not a fan of “cool” white lights, but these are almost too “warm.” When set in front of other warm white LEDs it’s semi apparent they are a different color. Not a HUGE deal, but worth noting. The length of each set is great. We used them to make LVS Christmas trees. 6’, and 4.5’ trees have the 800 count strands on each. The shorter trees each have 400 count multicolor strings on each.Overall, pretty happy. The pattern settings are good, and one remote will control ALL of them. I’d buy em again for sure!

Nice and Bright
Used to replace older non-leds. The last ones were like Christmas tree lights and while they said indoor/outdoor – questionable on outdoor. These definitely look outdoor with sealed lights. Fairly bright in the evening. No need for any other light. Did not try any of the settings other than On/Full. So much better than what they replaced.

Great lights but missing one key feature
These are great lights and 330 feet is a whole lot of lights! So far, I have only used them one season but they seem like they will hold up. Here’s why they fell short of five starts:1. Lack of memory – if the control unit loses power, the lights revert to default settings which is sequencing thru all 8 modes without a shut-off timer. I personally use these on a fence down by the road powered off of a receptacle on my lamp post. If the lamp post gets shut-off for some reason (which happens fairly often), I have to go down and reset the lights to the mode I want (on solid) and have to be around at evening time to push the timer button again. TO BE FAIR, if you are using these lights on a constant power source, this is a non-issue.2. The spool these lights come on is a mixture of plastic and cardboard and very flimsy. They definitely last more than one re-winding. One of mine fell apart the moment I took it out the box. Rather than deal with the tangled mess that ensued, I opted to just return the lights for a new set, which the seller promptly did for me. I ended up buying some metal spools that work great for this purposeYou can buy the spools here:https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B013RI0MDQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1In conclusion I would recommend this product with the caveats above. Enjoy!

Excellent Customer Service
Original order placed in October, 2021. I LOVED the lights and the gadgetry associated with enhancing their appeal. I packed them up early November 2021 to make way for Christmas lights and stored them in a controlled environment. Fast forward to October 2022. Went to get the lights out to prepare for Halloween decorating. Plugged them in to test and refresh my operating memory. Behold, only the orange strand lit up, on steady, and neither the manual controller nor the remote (yes, fresh batteries installed), would work. I fiddled and fiddled. Since the lights were still within the 1-year warranty period – barely – I wrote Ollny to try to get some technical suggestions about what might be wrong and how I might fix the lights. Instead, I received a VERY prompt reply apologizing for the inconvenience and asking me where to send a replacement. I was MOST impressed. I’ve dealt with companies shilling through Amazon that just didn’t care when their products didn’t work upon receipt and they actually copped an attitude with me. This customer/product service follow-up was SO refreshing! I use Ollny lights as much as I can as they are a quality decoration so I liked them to begin with, but this was unexpectedly over-the-top as far as follow-up and resolution. The five-star-rating is applicable to the product when originally received and used, but now, it’s more relevant to the most excellent customer service when the malfunction issue was discovered. I would recommend Ollny products based on the customer support alone, and they obviously care about their reputation as a customer-focused company.Update – the malfunction error noted was due solely to operator error. It had to do with conncecting the control box and the power box together in the right sequence. I submitted a technical explanation to Ollny. Egg on my face, and they stood by the original deal. I just had to furnish them a picture of correct hook up. Great people, great vendor to do business with.

5/5 for lights, minus 1 star for remote.
5/5 for the lights themselves2/5 for the remote controlTotal 4/5 starsi had originally bought the white version of these lights but they shined more blue than white and didn’t match the rest of the decorations, so I opted for the ‘soft white/yellow’ instead. In both cases though the lights are great quality. I have them wrapped up along my tree in the frontyard and they look beautiful at night! They’ve withstood heavy winds and so far survived a night of rain as well! The plug is supposed to be water resistant (but not the receiver attached to the plug) but I don’t really want to put that to the test. So I have it plugged in and the outdoor plug cover sits above the lights plug and receiver to shield it in case of rain (so it doesn’t fall directly on the receiver). My biggest problem is with the remote control. Yeah, it’s got 8 different light functions (though honestly I don’t see the need for so many, pretty much all on or a twinkle would suffice). It has dimmable modes too which is cool, but the remote falls short on 2 fronts.1.) the timer feature is 6hours on and 18 hours off. Not bad, but i’d like it to be on at dusk and off at dawn, that’s more than 6hours to be honest. This would still be fine if I could use the remote control from inside my home, but i can’t- which is the second biggest flaw.2.) you have to use the remote and point it directly at the receiver for it to work. Considering these lights are outside that means you can be at MAXIMUM 3feet away from the receiver to use it. Which means every day I want to turn them on/off I have to remember to go outside and do it.Sounds like a first world problem (and it is) but I know it can be better because I also have string lights that go around my roof, with the receiver outside as well, and my remote for those essentially work from anywhere inside my house. They even reach the receiver from my street, so I know a better remote control is possible. So yeah, minus 1 star for the remote but the light quality is great. If you don’t mind the remote then for sure a great buy!

nice lights controller no point at all
the lights themself are very bright and work pretty well so far almost a week i have had them. my issue is the controller it did not work. so i contacted the company. instead of telling me how it really was they sent me a cheaper thing of lights with another controller. The controller still did not work so figured to mess around with the strand of lights they sent. the controller needs to be no more then 4 inches for it to work. if you have a box in the yard to keep wild life out of it forget about it completely in other words you might as well just push the button on the power cord. the controller is a 100% pointless it is also why i got the light i am disabled was trying to make my life easier. they where very nice when i contacted them. reason why my review is so low is there was no way they didn’t know about there controller they just jerked me around

Mine broke, but replacement and great customer service
I bought these after Xmas last year 2021. Quick trial – worked fine at the time, and then put them in storage until 2022. I hung them up on Friday after thanksgiving 11/25/2022. Unfortunately, after 3 days, I noticed a significant deterioration in brightness – maybe down to 15%. Tested everything to see what might be causing the problem, and it wasn’t the outlet, cord, or remote. One day later, by 11/29/2022, they were completely dead.I emailed the manufacturer and got a prompt reply within maybe 24 hours. They were very accommodating, asked me for a picture, and then offered to send me a replacement completely free of charge. The replacement, which was a slightly shorter length (not a problem since there are a ton of lights), arrived within 3 days!I would have submitted a 1-star review, but the great customer service and replacement makes me bump the review back to a 4-stars. I’m in a wait-and see mode to see how the replacements last.If I’m buying something on Amazon, I heavily rely on the actual score and volume of ratings. Maybe I just got a slightly defective set, but the manufacturer was quick to resolve. Small aside – maybe when you’re stringing them, don’t stretch the lights too taughtly. I live in a very windy part of Ohio, and I did notice on the original lights that the strands had snapped in a couple of places. Give some slack when you hang them, and maybe you won’t run into what I ran into.

That’s too many lights!
Great product for the price. I will echo other reviewers on the color being more yellowish than soft white. Personally I wouldn’t purchase 800 all on one string again, just too easy to get tangled up when putting them up.

A new beautiful entry way *2024 Update*
We initially put this up with command strips as a temporary installation, but the girlfriend loves it so much it’s going to end up staying full time. Now I just need to figure out what I’m doing with that light fixture. All modes work as intended it’s a nice neutral white with many modes to suit your taste and mood.*2024 Update*At the end of 2023 we re-set up the lights in a more permanent installation, however the control box has now stopped working entirely. In order to use the lights now, we have to uncouple that wire and directly plug the LED’s into the power inverter. This means that we lose ALL control functions including the ability to turn it off and on. I have reached out to the support team in January, and while they’ve been quick to respond every time, it’s been 6 months without full function of the lights and I’ve been quoted until November for replacement parts to be available.

Check package carefully.
Ordered new string of lights. Received clearly used/returned set of lights. The package within the shipping box was in a plastic bag; once I opened the plastic I saw why. Whomever had put the light string back in the original box didn’t wrap the lights well and the box would not close. There was no remote in the box. Oddly, the control for switching modes was not attached to the light string. Upon examination I found a sort of charred (?) mark that you can see in the photo to the left side of the controller. The light string does not light up. Also, in the last photo you can see that there are pine needles wrapped up in the string of lights.I have started a return and will update if there are any further issues. I have another set of these lights and really like them, which is why I ordered more. I am very much not happy right now.***Update*** The return process was easy and the new replacement set of lights seems to work quite well and all components are in the box. I definitely received a returned used set initially and that is why I bumped up from 1 star to 4. If I hadn’t had to return the first used set I would have given the lights a 5 star.

Beautiful string of lights. Amazing follow up service.
I purchased these lights on March 2023. In December the lights would no longer light up. We were disappointed because we really enjoyed them and the features. The long string of lights lit up our entire patio and provided a nice selective choice of various blinking patterns. I contacted the company and within one day I received a response. There were no questions, the sent a replacement of the entire set of lights. We are very impressed. We consider this seller a very reputable company. We will definitely recommend and will purchase again. Thank you.

Uncontrollable blinking mode
The quality of lights, build of wiring, wrapping and packaging are all good, but the lights are useless to me, and perhaps others in my situation (which I don’t think is too unusual). When power is applied, the default mode is an annoying sequence of various blinking modes. The range of the remote control is lousy (about an arm’s length where you could just push the controller button by hand anyways). So if your lights are plugged into a switched outlet that’s not very close, you have to trudge out to the controller and push the button eight times to get to steady lights (more annoying when close and perhaps in snow). If the default mode were simply steady lights (instead of the sequence of blinking modes which maybe others like?), I’d give these five stars. When I asked about this problem in the questions, the seller replied “use the remote control”, so they clearly didn’t bother to read my question/problem. Their remote control has nowhere near the range to reach the lights. Plus, I have eight of these light bundles – that’s having to go around to eight controllers, push each button eight times (to cycle to steady lights) – 64 button presses on total, in the cold/snow, what a pain. Not only did I foolishly purchased eight of these light string bundles, I am out of the return period, so stuck with them. I tried to bypass the controller using just their included 29VDC power supply, but since these lights are wired with expectations of bidirectional current, only half will illuminate. Using a standard 29VAC power supply @60Hz is too low of a frequency and causes strobe effect. So their controller is required.I thought about using an IR blaster to replace their remote. Or perhaps use another remote switch to splice the wire from the controller to the light string. What a useless pain. They could/should have just made the default mode steady lights. Perhaps boring but not obnoxious. But just because someone thought the default combo blink mode would be a cute default (even if another blink mode is preferred, I doubt anyone really likes the combo blink mode).I asked about fixes or workarounds for this, but their reply was simply to use the remote, so clearly didn’t bother to fully read my question that the remote was useless as well.

Can’t Control the Blinking on a Timer
These are ok lights but I don’t like them. I bought string lights for the bushes and icicles for the roof. But I put them on a timer so they would go on when it gets dark. I come home and the nice tranquil Xmas vibe I was trying to create was a seizure inducing, strobe of random blinking lights. No matter what I did, it was the same thing every night. If I forgot to go over and change them with the remote the whole house was a mess of random blinking. Not what I wanted at all.The brightness was ok. The worked fine through to February when I took them in. But I’m going to be replacing them with another brand. I don’t like these.

The verdict is yet to come
I received these lights a couple weeks ago and put them all around my patio. I strung them around and through the trees. They looked magical and I was very pleased. Unfortunately they stopped working within several days. What a disappointment. It took quite a few hours to put these lights up only to have to take them down. I contacted the supplier and they were VERY receptive. They had no problem with sending out a new box. They did ask me to switch out the new plug with the old one to see if it was the plug or the lights. Unfortunately it was the lights. I was very pleased with the customer service. Now I need to restring the lights which I’m not looking forward to and hope that the old set was just a bad set. They really are beautiful when they work.

Great Customer Service
My lights worked great for about a year (literally a year) and I had them set on a timer for the last few months to go on every night. They started to fade and soon went completely out. I reached out to Ollny direct to see if there was a fuse or something I could replace to fix and they asked me for my purchase order number and found they were still under their 1 year warranty. Mind you, this is 5 days prior to my warranty expiring. I had forgotten these came with a warranty and they reminded me and sent two replacements free of charge! Wish more companies had this type of service.I would recommend only using the timer for events and turn on/off when needed to prolong the life of the controller box.

A lot of bright & sturdy lights for a good price
Love the length. I was able to wrap around our 50ft x 12ft large deck twice. The lights are very bright and seem very sturdy as well. The different settings are great. The only thing I did not like is the fact that I have to step outside to change the settings or turn it off/on. It will not work through a wall or window. (I’m lazy;-))Update: My remote control receiver rusted (the only part that is not waterproof. Did I mention I am lazy? This part would need to be covered somehow if you plan on keeping it out in the elements. It is my fault it rusted, the instructions mention that it is not waterproof. I removed this part and now have stationary lights. Which is the setting I used the most. I like the blinking effect for holidayz. Good thing I have another reel I will make sure to place the receiver in a water tight enclosure. I would definitely buy these again!UPDATE: 12/9/2020 I did not know the remote control/timer device was not water proof 🙁 I disconnected it and now just have steady lights that I must manually plug and unplug. I miss being able to use the timer and change the lights from blinking and chasing. That is my mistake for not fully remembering the instructions. So, with my second set for our vacation home I put the controller in a watertight container to protect it year round. Yes, I love these lights so much I have them on year round. With the timer I have them set to go on at night when I walk my Bernese Mountain Dog. I love to walk him OFTEN and at any hour. These lights now bring even more cheer to the neighborhood during this sad Pandemic. I would totally still recommend these lights. They have been outside during Pennsyvania freezing temperatures, snow & rain storms and still going strong! Love love love ’em!

Exactly what we were hoping for!
We wanted lights that would be ✅ bright, ✅ even, ✅ adjustable, ✅ cool to the touch, and ✅ be backed up in case anything went wrong with them. So these were the perfect choice!Apologies in advance for them looking a bit “blue”. They don’t actually look that blue, but the camera exaggerates the color, and all white LEDs are, by nature, pushing into the high 6000k end of the color spectrum, which is full of blue light (imperceptible to the naked eye when done correctly). In person, these are definitely a blinding white; which is what we wanted. Soft off-white or “yellow white” is what we were intentionally avoiding, so we’re pleased with the piercing clean white these provide! The remote control works excellently for on/off functions as well as dimming. We didn’t care for the animated lighting patterns, however, as we hoped for some sort of slow, steady, alternating twinkle. The animated modes for this set are all basically slow that gets fast, fast, or solid. There is a variety though, if the lightshow effect is your thing. Not a massive deal, but a constant slow twinkle, or even a speed control on the remote would have been icing on the cake.As far as durability, these are tough, but still a little fragile. If you know what “fairy lights” are, this is literally the exact same thing – and I do mean exactly. It’s just that these have a thick transparent TPU jacket over the wires, and the diodes are encased and “suspended” in what I believe is acrylic, within an elongated “capsule” of sorts distancing and isolating the diodes from the main line; presumably for weatherproofing and wear-resistance. Speaking of weatherproofing, the control module acts as a junction box between the power supply head and light string, with a very confident and secure connection method. Male ends connect to the female ends one-way via polarized plugs with good radial resistance, then a thick collar screws down over the threads to securely hold the connections together and further resist ingress. All in all, considering the price, features, etc, I highly recommend these. We did an initial layered wrap around the center pole of the tree, bottom-up to create the glow effect you see, then a dispersed, less dense, typical layering between branches – just in case anyone was wondering. For the bottom or “trunk” glow, we secured the final two bundles just under the bottom row of branches, rather than wrapping them.Final note: Our first set of these were defective or something, because they died about 2hrs of having them on, but the seller/brand sent us out a replacement quickly with absolutely no hassle! That’s the kind of customer service that’s makes me trust a brand and feel confident doing business with them again. So if you’re worried about malfunctions or anything, at least rest easy knowing these fine people will have your back! 😁

Was optimistic but greatly disappointed twice
I was optimistic about buying this Ollny light string for both the changing functions of the lights and the length of the string to run through the bushes in front of my house for Christmas. It could cover most of the bushes in one run without having to connect multiple strings, which I thought was great. After setting this up twice (I will get to that point), I would stay with shorting strands and connect them so you can replace dead sections and wrap around trees and other items more easily to secure the string.I plugged the lights in and tested and they had a great glow to them – then I went out to wrap the lights, and they looked great the first night when they came on with the timer. That lasted two days. The third day they did not light, and when I moved closer they were on but very dim. I played with the remote, reset the strand, and moved to a different outlet, but nothing restored the light. I emailed for support but did not receive a personal answer, only a link for troubleshooting which did not resolve the issue. I returned them to Amazon and got a replacement set, thinking I was just a dud. Amazon quickly sent me a replacement and return slip. The new set came and I undid the long string and replaced it with the new string (took a while which is why I would stay with shorter runs in the future). And it was great again – great light and they came on with the timers that night. Until day two. Same issue. The lights were very dim and no fiddling with electricity, remotes, or swapping power supplies would fix the problem. We are in NC so temp does not go below freezing so the elements should not have been a problem for this “outdoor set”. A second dud set, no communication from the vendor, we were done. I went to Lowes and bought a store set and they worked great the first time and remained on for the season. My recommendation would be to steer clear of this light set as I had two duds – could just be unlucky on my end – but I was never contacted back so I will not know.

very bright!!
I love the lights, I got the 800LED and it was way more than I needed but I like it and made it work! They’re very bright and I love the different modes but my only issue is that the remote does not work! so a little disappointed there.

not quite as expected
I was expecting the wire and the outside of the light to be green, the wire is metal colored and the casing for the lights is white. they work fine, I was not interested in returning them, but don’t look great on a green tree when they are off.
