Beautiful colors…But REMOTE does NOT work!
Very disappointed that the remote does not work. So now it must be plugged in all the time and I have to get up and go to the tree to change the colors. It is very pretty, but not happy about the remote!!!!

Beautiful Star!
Great customer service when we had a blinking light on the first one. They sent a replacement very quickly and it worked perfectly. The star can be adjusted from dim to bright with lots of options and colors. Nice product.

Very nice color.
Would like instructions with it. Colors on fixture do not always match color on remote. Hard to figure out which buttons to push. Not always getting results expected. Timer does not work. But it is generally nice and bright.

Not as advertised.
First of all my remote doesn’t work for this star. Secondly, the video they show is nothing like what this star is. I’m pretty disappointed. I feel like it’s almost false advertising.

Very Bright
This is pretty cool looking as a topper….BUT…they don’t always get assembled properly and that throws off some of the light pattern features you can use. I have one where two parts of it are backwards so the pulse goes the wrong way on two of the points. I leave that one on a basic color change mode with no light pattern changes.

The remote control does not work
It does what it’s supposed to do. My child decorates our tree every year. It’s our tradition. He picks out the ornaments and I help by putting the clips on the decorations for him.He picked out this star and was so excited for it. He is Autistic, and a sensory avoided when it comes to lights and textures. So, him wanting something with changing lights is new for him. He was so excited for the Star and I have to pretend the remote got lost because everytime he can’t control the star with it he has a meltdown.

This is a really great star however you have to point the remote directly at the receiver if not it won’t work with the remote which to me is kinda pointless for the price. It’s still really nice tho. The colors are so vivid

Kind of crappy
Poor quality. Light brightness is pretty dim compared to the tree lights. Only 5 lights. Remote didn’t work. Even with the battery in it. Took the battery out and tried again. Never worked. Was only able to turn it off by unplugging it. Ended up replacing this with a better one from Home Depot 🙂

Super cool tree topper star!
Super tree topper! I needed to connect to timed light power strip turning all lights on & off. Most toppers are battery so I would have needed to manually control. Great Remote Control options of colors & flash patterns. We have a small 3 ft tree, and the small star is a perfect balance.

Point remote towards the PLUG!!!!
Attention!! The remote DOES work. You have to point it towards the PLUG, not towards the star. The star is beautiful and you can change the colors with the remote if you point it at the plug. I almost didn’t buy it because everyone said the remote didn’t work, but I think they all must be pointing it at the star. The only negative is that you have to buy a USB power block to use this.

Don’t have a remote control
The media could not be loaded.
I was excited when I received my order, but it got me disappointed as soon as I open cause it doesn’t have a remote control. And it looks like a used one. As a soon as I return it, they replace it right away. Me and and my wife are very impressed of the product. It looks beautiful on the top of my tree.

Nice but has some issues; note: you need a USB charge block for this
We are keeping it and using it for our tree but it isn’t perfect. It does have some nice color modes and strobing.The cord has a USB plug on it. You cannot plug this directly in the wall. You will need a USB power supply like what is used to charge an iPhone or many other types of electronics. These USB charges used to come with iPhones but Apple has stopped including them (and Apple has switched over to USB-C). Many other companies have also stopped including them. We have many from all the phones and other electronics we have bought so it wasn’t a problem for us.This star is smaller than I expected. It is smaller than most you can buy. But, it does put out plenty of light and colors so it seems much bigger when it is on top of the tree and turned on.On the cord is a switch to change modes. I don’t know what all the options are. There is also a remote control that lets you do many more strobe or color changing modes. You can also have it steady on with your choice of 16 colors.The biggest problem is that the “AUTO” mode does not work right. This was our preferred mode because it continually cycles through all the possible modes.The problem is that it switches off the star in five minutes. The star will not respond to the remote control and switching the power on and off to it doesn’t fix the problem. To get the star to work again, you have to go to the little button switch on the cord and press it a couple of times to get the light to turn on again.All other modes work fine. When you turn off the power to the star and power it back up, it comes up in the mode last used (I returned one from Philips that would default back to white steady on every time cycled the power).It is made of sturdy plastic and didn’t have any problems when I dropped it a few feet. It might even survive a drop from the top of a tree down to a concrete floor.

Looks great
The item arrived in great condition. The remote included 1 battery and functioned well right out of the box. Don”t forget to remove the plastic battery contact before using. Point the remote at the plug (not at the star). Looks great on my 7.5 ft tree. Has many modes and you can adjust the brightness to some extent. Great product.

The only thing I don’t like is it will not stay set on a particular color. I wanted white or red, but it continues to go through each color option. It would’ve been a 5star rating, if the remote would go to & stay on what I selected

Remote won’t work!
While the star is pretty and the perfect size for a 4-ft Christmas tree, the first one I received the remote did not work at all. The star was stuck in flashing hyper mode. It was awful. So I ordered another one. The remote worked for about 5 minutes using two of the many buttons. It no longer works and it is stuck in a fade mode where it changes color about every couple seconds. The whole point of getting this star was that I was going to be able to have it be any one color of the many that it contains, or have it fade into other colors, or have it flashing. It is a very poor quality setup which is unfortunate because in general, it is pretty

Fun!
Pretty cool tree topper! I didn’t catch that it’s USB so I had to dig up an adapter which is a little bulky in my tree, but no big deal.Lots of effect functions to cycle through on the button on the cord. The remote has 3 effects, plus all the solid colors, dimmer, and timer options. Fun to change up the color or have the fade effect cycle through all 20 colors.

I love it! It is so cool! It has so many color variations! My only complaints are the cord needs to be longer (I mean it’s for a Christmas tree people! They’re tall!) and it should have come with a brick to plug it in. Other than that I absolutely love it! It’s so bright and pretty!

Save Your Money
Every time we push a button on our tv remote it makes the star flash off and on. Apparently the remote for the star and Roku and TV are all on the same frequency. I don’t see this star lasting long with it doing that. Save your money! Otherwise it’s a beautiful star.

Smaller trees might be better
Small, and lights are not impressive. You’ll have to get a long USB female to male cable to connect it. Remote works when it wants to, and can’t seem to change the settings. I added a big bow to the bottom of the star to give it a nicer bigger look. No major issues but can’t really recommend.

Loved it
We can’t have a normal tree because of our cats, but my wife purchased a metal display tree to show off the ornaments she created. I strung some lights on it, but the plain star that came with the tree just looked sad. This was the perfect addition. We never used the remote. We just set it to cycle through the different colors and patterns. We got lots of compliments.

This product isn’t worth $15!! It’s really cheaply made, really small, I thought it would be a lot bigger than what it is. It doesn’t come with a USB charge block!! And you definitely need that in order for the star to operate. I do love the multi colors, the remote is easy to use just point it towards the usb plug, it has different settings which is really cool. I know my son will love it so that’s all that really matters to me. 😁

Missing Part
Was looking forward to using this as my tree topper. but the cone connector for the star and tree was missing from my box. QA Fail! Aside from this, it seems to look good and I wanted to note that the plug is a USB plug, don’t recall seeing that before I ordered. I’ll have to improvise with some wire to make my own spiral cone to use.

Perfect little star for a small grandma tree. There is a button on the USB that you may have to click to turn lights on. Be sure to point the remote towards the USB and not the star itself. You will need to provide the USB/standard phone power adapter. Great next day shipping.

Nice but small
Star was nice, it changes color and has a remote (two things we really wanted), but it is quite small and looks slightly silly on our tree (6 and a half foot)…we may end up getting a ribbon or something to add to it so it doesn’t look so small up there. As a tip, to use the remote you have to point it at the plug itself, not the star!

Remote doesn’t work
Remote battery is dead right out of the package. Will look at how much a replacement is before returning this. The package also says to only use included bulb if first one burns out, but there’s no extra bulb in the box.
